When we first laid eyes on the site, we were captivated by its soaring heights and the meticulously restored coffered ceiling. But, as the saying goes, “With great ceiling heights come great challenges.”
DAG 1 was a project that extended the ability of the lights to efficiently illuminate the artworks ensuring that no shadows marred the viewer’s appreciation. The gallery was conceptualized as a multi-functional space with a library on the mezzanine floor. It was to host events, lectures, and gatherings while seamlessly transitioning between the different roles. The lighting design adapts, creating an ever-evolving ambiance.
