DAG’s third gallery, nestled in the heart of Lutyens Delhi, exudes a luxurious sense of space. However, there’s a twist—the ceiling height is notably lower! For us, lighting designers, this presents both an opportunity and a challenge. After all, the interplay of light and shadow can either elevate or diminish the art viewing experience.
A meticulously designed layout that worked between services, structural beams, and walls, this space was to ensure maximum flexibility. We created moods of lighting that would switch between art shows, cultural gatherings, and a workspace for their gallery team. As you step inside, the interplay of light guides you—a silent curator leading you through a bounty of creativity.
