In art exhibits, we don’t always have the luxury of designing lighting with the flexibility afforded in art galleries. Often, we work with temporary structures and within tight timelines.
For this exhibition, our first intervention was planning the truss that would hold the lights. We then positioned lighting to ensure the artworks were thoughtfully highlighted. Panoramic images were stitched together and illuminated - bringing life to the photographs. We also introduced an indirect ambient glow to enhance visual comfort, without losing the dramatic nature of the exhibition lighting.
