Navigating the Lighting in Heritage Buildings

Heritage buildings carry a rich legacy, and their preservation and adaptation come with intricate challenges. The process is far from straightforward demanding a profound understanding of the building’s health, the Archaeological Survey of India’s (ASI) assessment, and a commitment to minimal structural alterations to safeguard the integrity of these historical gems.

In our recent project, we encountered a unique synergy between lighting and other essential services. The goal was to transform a heritage space in Delhi, India, into a comfortable Museum haven during scorching summers. To achieve this, HVAC ducts had to be introduced. Collaborating closely with consultants, we meticulously designed a lighting layout that harmonized with the grandeur of the interiors while allowing flexibility for various show scenarios.

Our approach seamlessly blended tradition and modernity, ensuring that the heritage structure remained both functional and awe-inspiring.
